I've never hunted for a photo like other great photographers; and truly, their ability to keep their eyes open and cameras ready is what makes them special. For me, I take advantage of a moment that strikes me - one that I'm proud to participate in. Whether that's photographing my family and at the holidays, including grandparents while they're still alive; or capturing an incredible religious community cow-slaughtering ceremony in South Africa, even as a vegetarian. I find that traveling and spending time with loved ones bring out my strongest work.
