RACHAEL LEWIS-KRISKY
MY
STORY
You can call me Rae (she, her(s), they). As a multimedia producer, I’ve spent my career exploring how different mediums impact storytelling and how combinations can transcend boundaries.
In my most recent role at the Sr. Multimedia Producer on at DigitalOcean (a cloud technology company) I launched and hosted their podcast Making Work Work, which focused on the nuances of running and SMB in technology spaces. Though my contributions and marketing work have been valuable, my greatest achievement at Digital Ocean is serving as the co-lead and founder of the company's first LGBTQ+ employee resource group (ERG), the Rainbow DOlphins, which advocates for our LGBTQ+ employees. At my previous company 2U, I also founded and served as the local chair for their ERG, 2Q: 2U's Queer Business Resource Group.
I'm a recent Summa Cum Laude graduate from USC with a Master’s of Science in Integrated Design, Business and Technology where I focused on digital solutions for the transgender community. While in my undergrad at Ithaca College, I produced a student Emmy Award-winning documentary “Fighter By Nature,” which took 2 years and countless trips to Baltimore to film. I spent my first semester of my senior year in South Africa, producing an audio documentary called “Mothers of Langa,” that challenged stereotypes around single-motherhood. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ithaca College in 2014 as a Park Scholar with a major in Documentary Studies and Production, and minors in African Diaspora and Honors.
In the little free time I have, I wood burn, travel, and read.
